Stepper motor

Method/step 1:

Control accuracy: the more phase number and beat number of the stepper motor, the higher its accuracy.The servo motor takes the block from its own encoder. The more the encoder scales, the higher the precision.

Method/step 2:

Low-frequency characteristics: the stepper motor is prone to low-frequency vibration at low speed. When it works at low speed, damping technology or subdivision technology are generally adopted to overcome the low-frequency vibration.The servo motor runs very smoothly, even at low speed will not appear vibration phenomenon;

Method/step 3:

Moment frequency characteristics: the output torque of stepper motor decreases with the increase of speed, and will drop sharply at high speed. The servo motor is constant torque output at rated speed, and constant power output at rated speed .

Method/step 4:

Overload capacity: stepper motor does not have overload capacity, servo motor has strong overload capacity;

Speed response performance: it takes hundreds of milliseconds for stepper motor to accelerate from static to working speed, while AC servo system has better acceleration performance, which generally takes only a few milliseconds, and can be used in control situations requiring fast start and stop.

Method/step 5:

Performance: the control of stepping motor for the open loop control, start frequency is too high or too much load is easy to lose step or locked-rotor phenomenon, stops frequently occur high speed overshoot phenomenon, AC servo drive system for closed-loop control, the drive can be directly to the motor encoder feedback signal sampling, internal position loop and speed loop, general won't appear step motor lose step or overshoot phenomenon, control performance more reliable;
