What is the difference between a Siemens plc digital input module and a Siemens plc analog input module?

There are three types of analog modules: Siemens analog input modules, Siemens analog output modules, and Siemens analog input/output modules.

(1) PLC analog input module

The digital quantity module is to detect the state of external switch quantity input.

Digital quantity input and output signal is the switch quantity signal, 1 or 0, analog quantity signal, there are 2 kinds of voltage or current signal, generally is the signal transmitted from the transmitter, such as using the pressure transformer to detect the pressure of the water pipe, it will output an analog signal of 4--20ma or 0-10 v signal to PLC, PLC for data processing.
